Stray cats and dogs seen in Valley Street

Some residents had noticed a sudden increase in the number of stray cats and dogs in Valley Street. A pack of cats and dogs are seen loitering around the area, making the residents feel unsafe because they will fear that it may harm or hurt them. The streets are littered with cat food as people are feeding these cats. In addition, there are also reported cases of joggers being bitten by stray dogs. Something needs to be done about these stray animals.

There are also rumours of stray dogs causing harm to joggers around the streets. A 20-year-old jogger was attacked by a pack of nine stray dogs at the streets when he was jogging at a nearby park in Valley street.  However, he managed to escape with a few scratches and bites.
This will not only make the joggers inconvenient, but also the residents living nearby in the Valley Street. If the people in charge do not take actions immediately, there will be more consequences and there will be more problems arise in Valley street. Should members of the public encounter stray dogs, they are advised to remain calm, slow down and walk away in a different direction or call the hotline at 62347283.
To reduce stray dogs and cats:

1) Do no feed stray cats and dogs.
2) Protect cats and dogs so call SPCA

Signs of aggression of dog:

1) Snarling
2) Growling
3) Showing teeth
4) Barking
5) Hair standing on the back.

When these signs are seen on the dog, best is to avoid it and not provoke it anymore.
